"There are discussions, but no decision": Mirzoyan
Discussions are ongoing regarding the deployment of OSCE observers at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. This was announced today by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mirzoyan also addressed the issue of sending observers from the CSTO and noted that they have appealed to the organization.
“A decision has been made in the CSTO to send a preliminary observation or fact-finding mission. Officials have come, prepared a report based on their findings, and it has been presented to all member states of the CSTO. The Secretariat is currently circulating a draft decision based on this report. There are discussions, but no decision has been made. A council meeting must take place. It is extremely important for us to obtain a political assessment of the situation from our allied states. First and foremost, we need to understand to what extent the organization recognizes the existing situation, which constitutes aggression against the Republic of Armenia,” said Mirzoyan.
