Avetik Chalabyan Released from the Courtroom
The coordinator of the "Hayakve" alliance and public-political figure Avetik Chalabyan has been released from the courtroom. Judge Davit Balayan did not impose any preventive measures against him.
The first court session in Chalabyan's case took place on August 21 at the Shengavit residence of the Yerevan Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction. The case is assigned to Judge Davit Balayan.
Earlier, on June 24, Chalabyan was arrested and subsequently detained. He faces criminal charges for allegedly preparing to obstruct the exercise of electoral rights. Chalabyan denies the charges.
