Peskov Denies Claims as EU Announces Investigation into Drone Supplies from Iran to Russia
Russia's Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov did not respond to journalists' questions about whether Russia has purchased drones from Iran. He stated that the Kremlin has no such information, according to kommersant.ru.
“No, we do not have such information. Russian technology is being used, as you know, with Russian names; all other questions can be directed to the Ministry of Defense,” Peskov said during a press conference.
The European Union has also announced that it will investigate the matter of drone supplies from Iran.
Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau stated that the EU will conduct an investigation to determine if Iran is supplying drone kamikazes to Russia, as reported by the Polish publication WPolityce.
The Polish minister also mentioned that Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has categorically denied the information regarding the supply of Iranian drones to Russia in a conversation with the EU's Foreign Affairs Chief Josep Borrell.
