Blinken Discusses Release of Armenian Prisoners with Aliyev
The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev have discussed Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, including the issue of the return of prisoners of war.
“I spoke with the President of Azerbaijan about how the U.S. can continue to sustain the recent positive momentum in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace talks,” Blinken wrote.
The State Department has noted that the parties “discussed the recent positive momentum towards peace in the South Caucasus and future concrete steps, including border delimitation and demarcation, the opening of transportation and communication routes, and the release of remaining Armenian prisoners of war.”
