Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tigranashen and Seven Villages of Tavush
Following the meeting held in Brussels, it is believed that the Armenian side has agreed to start the process of a peace agreement and delimitation. According to Azerbaijani media, this was stated by the country’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov.
He noted that the negotiations will be based on Azerbaijan's five-point proposals. Khalafov also stated that the return of the seven villages in the Qazakh region and the village of Kiyark will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the delimitation process.
"The issue of returning these territories to Azerbaijan will be resolved through negotiations," emphasized the official of the authoritarian state. It is particularly mentioned that this refers to the seven villages in Tavush province of Armenia and the Tigranashen community in Ararat province.
It should be recalled that last Thursday, during a briefing held at the government, the Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, stated that the issue of enclaves is not being discussed during the negotiations, but Yerevan hopes that the Azerbaijani enclaves will remain under Armenia’s jurisdiction, while the Armenian enclaves will remain with Azerbaijan.
