Çavuşoğlu Responds to Biden's Use of the Term 'Genocide'

The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has responded on Twitter to U.S. President Joe Biden's April 24 address.

'Some Western leaders have recently defended the view that 'genocide' can only be established by a court decision. That is true. But the most striking example of their hypocrisy is that the same people have used the term 'genocide' for the events of 1915 for political reasons, without a competent court decision.'

Recall that U.S. President Joe Biden used the term 'genocide' in his annual April 24 message marking the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, just as he did last year.
