Tajik President Calls on Citizens to Stockpile Two Years of Food Supplies
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has called on the population to stockpile two years' worth of food supplies and to be prepared to defend the nation's independence, reports gazeta.ru.
Rahmon stated in his address, timed with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims, that this year will be the most challenging for humanity in every aspect, particularly concerning food security.
“In an environment where the political, military, economic, and social situation around the world is extremely tense, critical, complex, and dangerous, the independence and freedom of individual countries, as well as the structural integrity of statehood, are seriously called into question. We must always be prepared to defend our priceless blessing of life—state independence,” said Rahmon.
“Every family should consider how to ensure their livelihood, produce as much as possible, and stockpile the necessary food supplies for two years,” concluded the President of Tajikistan.
