On March 7, U.S. President Joe Biden discussed the possibility of a ban on importing oil from Russia with European leaders, although no decision has been reached, announced the White House.
Previously, the European Commission concluded that it would take one to two years for the European Union to reduce its dependence on Russian energy resources in certain sectors of its economy.
According to the institution, several EU countries would face significant issues if the supply of Russian energy resources were to stop abruptly.
