Uzbekistan's Air Force Forces Over 40 Afghan Aircraft to Land in Termez
More than 40 aircraft flying from Afghanistan to Uzbekistan were forced to make an emergency landing in Termez on the orders of the Uzbek military authorities. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.
Previously, the Uzbek General Prosecutor's Office reported the arrest of 158 Afghan servicemen and civilians in the Termez region, who had crossed the border illegally.
It is worth noting that on August 15, an Afghan plane collided with an Uzbek fighter jet. Both pilots were rescued thanks to ejection seats, but their condition is reported to be serious.
Earlier, Uzbekistan's air defense shot down an Afghan military aircraft attempting to cross the border.
