Has Azerbaijan Presented a Deadline to Armenia?

In recent days, tensions along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border have escalated, seemingly for serious reasons. According to sources within the RA military-political authorities, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has presented a deadline to Armenia, demanding that a peace agreement be signed within one month (essentially recognizing Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan) and resolving the issue of the Meghri corridor. Otherwise, Aliyev has threatened to initiate a new war against Armenia and impose his will through force.

This information was reported by Times.am. According to our source, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has already discussed Aliyev's demands in a closed circle. In this context, the ruling faction is cautiously trying to ascertain the opinion of the parliamentary opposition. This is why the “Civil Contract” party has decided to agree to the opposition's request and organize a closed discussion in the National Assembly regarding the border situation.

According to our information, today the authorities will hint to the parliamentary opposition about the deadline presented by Aliyev, after which, depending on the opposition's stance, they will try to clarify their own position and decide how to respond to the Azerbaijani side.
