International Animal Rescue Reports on Another Bear Captured in Armenia

International Animal Rescue has raised alarms about another bear captured in Armenia. Meet Bo, a bear currently confined in a small, dirty cage for the sole purpose of attracting tourists to one of the resorts in Hankavan.

Bo has nothing to bring him joy and does not even have room to move. The only thing the bear can do is take a few steps to the right or left. From his iron cage, Bo gazes hopefully at the world, dreaming of living a natural and wild life. He has been imprisoned for five years, which amounts to around 2000 days filled with boredom and despair.

Bo was born in the wild and likely lived a carefree life with his mother until one day he found himself in a cage. With the help of its partner IAR, the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Values has rescued about 30 bears in similar situations. Partners are also willing to help this bear; however, the management of the resort has rejected this idea.
