Turkey to Open Consulate in Shushi: Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, currently in the city of Shushi under Azerbaijani control following the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, has announced that Ankara will open a general consulate in Shushi, reports minval.az.

Erdogan stated that the opening of the consulate will take place in the near future.

It is worth noting that a ceremony for the signing of Turkish-Azerbaijani documents was held in Shushi with the participation of the presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan, during which the Shushi Declaration was signed.
