Several Residents in Gaza Reportedly Dead, Suspected Cause is Toxic Substances
Several deaths have been reported among residents of the Gaza Strip, likely caused by unidentified toxic substances. This information comes from the TASS news agency. "Several corpses of the deceased have been brought to the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, and forensic examination has confirmed that the direct cause of death was asphyxiation, indicating that they were likely exposed to toxic gases," reported the enclave's health department.
The report also notes that necessary samples have been taken from the deceased for appropriate testing. The health ministry has not clarified the conditions under which the people died.
It is worth recalling that tensions in East Jerusalem began to escalate in mid-April, and on May 7, clashes erupted between Israeli border police and Palestinians in two locations: the Temple Mount and the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. According to a court ruling, Israeli security forces are evicting several Arab families, which has been met with protests and violent confrontations from local residents.
