Mugham Resounded in Shushi: Ilham Aliyev Attended the Opening of the Music Festival

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, delivered a speech at the opening of a music festival held in Shushi. Aliyev attended the music festival with his wife. Following his speech, festivities commenced in the Armenian fortress city occupied by Azerbaijan, featuring Azerbaijani performances.

The event saw the presence of Azerbaijani writers, composers, journalists, and military personnel. In Jidir Duz, a large monitor was set up in the Hunot Gorge, broadcasting mugham music.

Aliyev also stated on his Instagram that this is a significant day, as the Kharybulbul music festival has commenced in the “Cultural Capital of Azerbaijan.” “After so many years of longing, legendary mugham will again be performed in Jidir Duz,” wrote Aliyev.
