Putin Offers Condolences to Families of Victims of Kazan School Shooting

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has ordered the immediate tightening of regulations surrounding the circulation of civilian firearms in connection with the emergency at a school in Kazan.

According to the Kremlin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, this relates to the types of weapons that can be used by citizens.

Putin expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims of the shooting at the Kazan school.

The Russian leader also instructed that necessary medical assistance be provided to the injured children. Medical professionals and psychologists have been dispatched to Kazan by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It is reported that this morning a teenager opened fire at School No. 175 in Kazan. According to confirmed information, 7 children have died and 16 people have been injured. Media sources report that two adults, a teacher and a security staff member, have also lost their lives.
