U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vence has announced that the war against Iran has entered a "new phase," where Washington's most effective tool is economic pressure.

"We are applying economic pressure on them, and they will try to apply economic pressure on us. However, over the past few weeks, they have felt much greater pressure than we have," Vence stated during an interview on "The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show."

According to the Vice President, the United States will continue this policy, considering it the best way to achieve its ultimate goal.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened Iran with an unprecedented scale of "economic war and isolation," declaring a "economic D-Day." However, Iran's Foreign Minister rejected Trump's threats, calling them a continuation of a failed policy.

At the same time, the U.S. continues to realign its military presence in the Middle East. The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln is returning to the U.S. after a six-month deployment, while the USS George Washington has already arrived in the Middle East.
