The Land Sold at Auction in 2008 Will Be Returned to the Jermuk Community
The Anti-Corruption Court has ruled that a 0.3-hectare plot of land located in the village of Gndevaz will be returned to the Jermuk community. The Ararat Regional Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit against the head of the Jermuk community and "Animal World" LLC on March 20, 2026, seeking to invalidate the auction held on January 27, 2008, and apply the consequences of its invalidity.
On August 12, the Anti-Corruption Court upheld the prosecutor's claim and declared the auction of the 0.3-hectare land in Gndevaz invalid. The court also invalidated the state registration of property rights over the land in the name of "Animal World" LLC. The land plot will be returned to the Jermuk community after the court's decision takes legal effect.
