Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia from the "Georgian Dream" party, emphasized the necessity for further development of strategic relations between Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey during a press briefing.

In response to a journalist's question, Kobakhidze stated that strengthening the strategic ties among Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey is crucial. He noted that it is fundamentally important to reinforce these connections, especially regarding interconnectedness, and that the government is doing everything possible to achieve this.

“When the EU document was developed at the expert level, including relating to electricity transit and underwater cable projects, experts included the Black Sea underwater cable, which is for electricity as well as a digital cable, in the list of joint interest projects. Where the expert component is involved, everyone understands that without Georgia, such connections cannot be established and strengthened. We must hope that realistic considerations will prevail,” the Prime Minister remarked.

Kobakhidze reiterated the importance of further strengthening the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey strategic ties from the perspective of interconnectedness, stating, “We are doing everything for this and will continue to do everything. We have a very good dynamic with Azerbaijan and Turkey, and of course, work in this direction will actively continue.”
