A Mine Explodes Under a 73-Year-Old Man's Feet in Kelbajar
A mine explosion has been reported in the territory of the Sariyel village in the Kelbajar region. The incident occurred in the liberated Sariyel village as indicated in a joint statement by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Prosecutor's Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA).
A resident of the Ghaynagh village in the region, 73-year-old Kyamran Shukyor oglu Suleymanov, was injured by the explosion while grazing livestock in an area that had not been cleared of munitions.
An investigation is underway at the Kelbajar regional prosecutor's office regarding the incident.
