Armenia and Kazakhstan Discuss Opportunities to Increase Agricultural Trade
On August 13, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with Kazakhstan's Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov in Almaty. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.
During the meeting, they discussed the expansion of cooperation in the agricultural sector, the possibility of increasing trade between the two countries, and the implementation of joint investment projects.
The parties also addressed the exchange of modern agro-technologies and experiences, the effective use of water resources, irrigation systems, animal husbandry, and the processing of agricultural products.
Gevorg Papoyan emphasized that there is potential to increase exports of Armenian agricultural and food products to Kazakhstan. This specifically includes winemaking, fruit and vegetable products, and aquaculture.
