Veronika Zonabend Responds to Pashinyan's Statement

Veronika Zonabend, the wife of Ruben Vardanyan, has issued a statement in which she specifically mentions:

“The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia stated in his message on August 8 that 'the detention of our compatriots in Azerbaijan causes great concern and anxiety for all of us.' I fully share this assessment and was glad to read those words. I also view positively the information published in the media that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has been designated as the responsible agency for organizing a meeting with me. At the same time, I find it necessary to clarify that, as of today, I have not yet been contacted, and I have not been provided with the contact details of the responsible official. I expect to receive the contact details of the responsible official and hope for a substantive meeting to discuss the further steps for organizing a humanitarian visit for women to Baku, as well as other issues related to Armenian citizens held in detention in Azerbaijan.”
