Belarusian Foreign Ministry Sends Protest Note to Official Yerevan
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has lodged a protest with official Yerevan regarding "the hostile actions of the Armenian side." The protest note was delivered to the Chargé d'Affaires of Armenia, Arthur Sargsyan.
Sargsyan was summoned to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry in this regard. The Belarusian side stated upon delivering the note that statements made by the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, regarding Belarus are electoral populism and an attempt to distract public attention from internal issues in Armenia.
Just days ago, Alen Simonyan declared that "Armenia should not become a governorate and be governed like Belarus." It is worth noting that we previously reported on the response from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry regarding Alen Simonyan's statement.
