Erdogan expressed his solidarity with Trump regarding the attempted armed attack during the White House Correspondents' Association dinner. “President Erdogan stated that he views the incident as a disgraceful act against democracy and press freedom, and wished a swift recovery for the injured members of the security service,” the released statement noted.
