X Company Officially Launches XChat Messenger

X Company has officially launched the XChat messenger. It can be downloaded from the App Store, but, as noted by Rozetked, it is still unavailable in the Russian region. It is unknown whether a version for Android will be released.

According to the app's description, it features end-to-end encryption, the ability to edit and delete messages, screenshot restrictions, group chats, and disappearing messages. Notably, it is emphasized that the messenger contains no advertisements.

Accessing XChat requires an X account. This means that simply downloading the messenger is not enough; one must also be registered on the X social network.

X Company announced XChat in June 2025. Since then, the service has been available in a testing mode for select users. Initially, the messenger was integrated into the X social network.
