Extreme Cold Intensifies in Yakutia as Temperatures Drop to −55 °C
The director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center, Levon Azizyan, reports: "Extreme cold continues in Yakutia. Previously, temperatures around −50 °C were mainly recorded during nighttime hours. However, now, during the shortest days of the year, this level of frost has been maintained throughout the entire day. The cold wave has affected large areas across various regions of the world's coldest territory. The nighttime minimum temperature has further decreased, reaching −55 °C."
