US to Pay Illegal Immigrants Voluntarily Leaving the Country

The US administration has decided to offer compensation of up to $3,000 to illegal immigrants who voluntarily leave the country. According to US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, the payments will be made to those who «self-deport» by the end of the year.

The US government will also cover the cost of airline tickets and waive fines and other immigration violations.

Since January of this year, 1.9 million illegal immigrants have taken advantage of the self-deportation opportunity in the United States.
