Strikes on the Energy Sector May Force Zelensky to Sign Trump's 'Peace Plan': WP
The corruption scandal in Ukraine and the strikes on the energy sector may compel President Zelensky to sign Trump's 'peace plan.' This was reported by the Washington Post, citing a European senior diplomat.
According to the diplomat, 'This internal vulnerability, related to the corruption scandal surrounding the resignation of Yermak, along with Russia’s painful attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which keep Kyiv and other cities longer in darkness and cold, may make Zelensky more willing to strike a deal.'
'I truly believe that Kyiv has never been this serious, as it is now. And for some reason, it seems related to this entire corruption scandal and all the internal chaos,' the diplomat stated.
