I See the U.S. Interests in That Country and Understand Trump: Lukashenko
Nothing is happening in Venezuela for now. But I see the U.S. interests in that country and I understand Trump, because Venezuela is close to them, just as Ukraine is close to Russia, which is why he has an interest in many matters, stated Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
“I am absolutely convinced that all the issues and U.S. desires today can be solved peacefully. I believe that soon we will be able to discuss this issue. War will bring nothing. I told John Cohen this yesterday. I told him that it would be a second Vietnam; do you need that? No, you don’t. That’s why there’s no need to fight there, it can be negotiated,” said Lukashenko.
The Belarusian president also mentioned that he will discuss the topic of Venezuela with Donald Trump soon. “I have many interesting things to tell him,” added Lukashenko.
