Powerful Eruption of Volcano in Hawaiian Islands
A powerful eruption has occurred on the Hawaiian Islands, with lava flowing recorded by a remote camera that was covered in ash and lost connection, reports BBC News.
Footage from the US Geological Survey (USGS) shows the camera becoming obstructed and 'hanging' before the data transmission stopped due to the eruption.
According to the US Geological Survey, lava fountains reaching heights of up to 30 meters have been observed from Kilauea, located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, on Saturday. Kilauea is one of the world's most active volcanoes, erupting regularly since December of the previous year.
