Allegations of Drug Planting in Protestor's Bag: Lawyer of Archbishop Arshak
Archbishop Arshak is accused of allegedly planting drugs in the bag of one of the participants of the protest against the Catholicos in 2018, with the intent to discredit him. This was stated by lawyer Arsen Babayan on his Facebook page.
“We have not heard anything more absurd,” he wrote.
It is worth noting that a public criminal prosecution has been initiated against Archbishop Arshak.
“During the pre-trial investigation of the criminal case, a public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the individual under the points 1 and 4 of part 2 of Article 393 of the Criminal Code (illegal drug trafficking by a group of persons with preliminary agreement in a public place),” the Investigative Committee informed Auroranews in response to inquiries.
