Sensational News in Iran: President Pezeshkian Injured by Israeli Strike During War
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, was injured on June 16 during an Israeli airstrike on a building where a meeting of the Supreme National Security Council was taking place, according to the Iranian state news agency, Fars.
The agency reports that the attack occurred in the morning in western Tehran. At the time, key figures of Iran's leadership were present in the building, including Pezeshkian himself, Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and chief of the judiciary Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei.
Six missiles were launched at the entrances and exits of the building, presumably to block escape routes and disrupt airborne operations. Following the explosions, the electricity supply was cut off, but officials managed to exit the building through a pre-prepared emergency exit.
President Pezeshkian and several other participants in the meeting sustained leg injuries. Reports suggest that the attack was organized in a manner similar to operations aimed at eliminating Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
