Galuzin Comments on Russia's Involvement in the Settlement Between Baku and Yerevan
Russia is ready to facilitate the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin in an interview with Izvestia.
The main directions for progress have been outlined in the trilateral agreements between the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan, and Armenia from 2020 and 2022.
“We believe these are the directions we should move towards: preparation of a peace treaty, unblocking economic ties and transport communications in the region, delimitation of borders with further demarcation, and establishing dialogue between civil societies and the parliaments of Armenia and Azerbaijan. And, of course, the Russian side, as one of the participants in the trilateral agreements, is prepared to continue contributing to their implementation, naturally in a way that is convenient for both parties,” said Galuzin.
On July 10, negotiations took place in Abu Dhabi between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
