Armenian Border Guards to be Deployed on Road Connecting Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, Says Pashinyan
Yes, there will be Armenian border guards on that road within the framework of Armenia's sovereignty. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press conference, responding to a question about the possibility of Armenian border guards standing on the road connecting Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan through Armenian territory.
"Border guards are mainly stationed at the border, not on the roads, but sometimes they are also positioned on the roads. Yes, there will be Armenian border guards on that road within the framework of Armenia's sovereignty. There will be no personal contact with citizens since biometric passports will be checked; however, if issues arise regarding them, that aspect needs to be considered," Pashinyan stated.
