US President Donald Trump's imposition of tariffs on BRICS member countries will not have a significant impact on Russia's economy, according to The Telegraph. “If Trump continues to impose new tariffs on BRICS countries, the consequences of US trade policy and global influence could be profound and not as positive as Trump imagines. Above all, new tariffs will not lead to a serious weakening of the economies of Russia and Iran,” the publication states.

The publication notes that higher prices for goods from the coalition countries will, on the contrary, accelerate the realization of Russia's domestic production goals.

Additionally, it is worth recalling that earlier, the leader of the White House wrote on the Truth Social social network that an additional ten percent trade tariff would be imposed on any country that supports BRICS's “anti-American” policies.
