Russia's Foreign Ministry Calls on Armenia to Cease Detrimental Practice
The ban on Russian citizens entering Armenia contradicts the allied nature of relations between Yerevan and Moscow, stated Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
"We consider the ban on the entry of Russian citizens as an unfriendly step that contradicts the allied nature of Russian-Armenian cooperation. We have repeatedly called on our Armenian partners to put an end to this detrimental practice," said the diplomat.
She noted that this issue was discussed by the heads of foreign affairs ministries during Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's visit to Armenia in May.
