Temporary Restrictions on Armenian Trucks Entering the Armenian-Georgian Border
Considering the recent congestion at Georgian checkpoints, the Armenian Customs Service has deemed it inappropriate for Armenian trucks to cross the Armenian-Georgian border. This was announced by the State Revenue Committee (SRC).
“The measures initiated in favor of economic operators are temporary, until the capacity issues on the Georgian side are resolved. The State Revenue Committee acts solely in the interests of cargo transport operators wishing to cross the border, assuring that if the congestion on the Georgian side is resolved promptly, the proper clearance of Armenian vehicles at the checkpoint will be organized,” the statement reads.
