How Many Accidents Occurred in Yerevan Due to Heavy Snowfall

From February 20 to 24, until 08:00, a total of 482 traffic accidents were recorded in Yerevan. This information was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to Auroranews.

"Of the recorded 482 accidents, 1 vehicle was equipped with summer tires, while 8 vehicles had worn winter tires. During the same period, police inspected 193 vehicles, 15 of which were found to have worn winter tires," said the agency.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, during an operational meeting of the Yerevan City Council, Mayor Tigran Avinyan stated, "Probably about 80 percent of the causes of traffic jams were related to cars with summer tires due to their insurance policies."
