The State Revenue Committee on Temporary Import of Personal Vehicles
The State Revenue Committee, considering public interest regarding the temporary import of personal vehicles registered in countries that are not EAEU members by individuals, reminds that such vehicles are imported into Armenia in accordance with the legal regulations of the EAEU Customs Code.
In particular, the temporary import of personal vehicles registered in a non-EAEU member state by foreign citizens, as well as by individuals from EAEU member states, is permitted into the customs territory of the Union, in this case, the Republic of Armenia, for a period not exceeding one year. Currently, there are no other legal provisions setting different terms for the temporary import of vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Committee states that the legislation differentiates between individuals based not on their citizenship of the Republic of Armenia or a foreign country, but on whether they are a “Union person” or a “foreign person.” If an individual has a permanent residence in the customs territory of the Union, in this case, Armenia, they are considered a
