Ararat Mirzoyan to Visit Sweden During the First Two Days of COP-29
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, who has received an invitation to participate in the 29th Climate Summit (COP-29) scheduled to take place in Baku, will visit Sweden for a working session during the first two days of the summit, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports.
“Ararat Mirzoyan will be in Sweden for a working visit on November 11-12. A meeting is planned with Sweden's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Marie Malmberg Stenevi. Bilateral meetings with other high-ranking officials from the executive and legislative branches are also expected,” the message posted on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Telegram channel states.
Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruir Hovhannisyan announced that Armenia had received an invitation to participate in the international climate conference to be held in Baku from November 11-22. The head of the Prime Minister's Office, Araik Harutyunyan, told reporters that the decision of the Armenian side to participate in the COP-29 climate conference in Baku may be influenced by significant progress in negotiations regarding the peace treaty.
