Armavir Governor Addresses Work of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant
The safety systems are highly sensitive and respond to any situation. This was stated by Armavir Governor David Khudatyan on his Facebook page.
“On August 30, around 21:55, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant was disconnected from the energy system in emergency shutdown mode. The cause of the shutdown was a lightning strike, after which the plant’s safety systems brought the facility to a safe shutdown mode. The safety systems are highly sensitive and respond to any situation.
On August 31, starting at 14:05, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant was reconnected to the power grid. In the coming hours, the NPP will begin to operate at full capacity,” he noted.
