Belarusian Blogger Arrested by Armenian Border Guards at Georgia Border Released
The Belarusian opposition blogger, wanted by Belarus, who was arrested by Armenian border guards at the border with Georgia, has been released. This was reported by Franak Viyachorka, chief advisor to Belarusian opposition leader and former presidential candidate Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
The source states that a legal team has sent documents to the Armenian authorities, indicating that Diana's case is related to the illegal actions of Lukashenko's regime and that she is subject to political persecution. “We continue to work with the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the case of Diana Moiseenko and other Belarusians who are facing persecution for political reasons,” Viyachorka added.
The office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya has noted that they have received assurances that Yerevan will not extradite its citizens to Belarus.
