What Caused the Flooding of Streets in Nor Nork? Clarification from 'Veolia Water'
In the 3rd district of Nor Nork, Yerevan, the recent flooding of streets was caused by the accumulation of construction materials and household waste, which surfaced and blocked the drainage systems. This was announced today during a working meeting of the Yerevan municipality by a representative of 'Veolia Water'.
He refuted claims that the streets were flooded due to polluted drainage systems, stating that after clearing the top layers of the drainage systems from waste, the water flow has ceased.
It was noted that the company has cleaned 161 sewers in the past week. During the meeting, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan instructed officials to investigate all construction sites in the Nor Nork administrative district.
