Official Yerevan Confirms: Mirzoyan on the Return of Prisoners
Official Yerevan confirms that the return of Armenian prisoners to Armenia is expected today. In response to reporters’ questions, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that the agreements reached between the parties have not changed.
“There has been no change in the agreements. Everything is proceeding according to the agreements at this moment. If you have noticed, there were two components: the release of prisoners and the climate conference component. And now that conference has officially ended yesterday, and today we can anticipate the implementation of the second component, and we have no grounds to believe that the Azerbaijani side will not uphold the agreements,” said Mirzoyan.
It is noteworthy that several Azerbaijani media outlets have reported, citing their sources, on the commencement of the process of exchanging prisoners.
