Peskov emphasized that the main purpose of the escort was to guarantee the safety of the head of the Russian state. “The region is quite unsettled. If the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are stable, predictable, and safe countries, the surroundings, of course, are not so safe, and provocations can happen here,” the president's press secretary underscored.
