Ararat Mirzoyan and Josep Borrell Meet
On October 5, in Granada, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The discussions centered on the situation created by the forced displacement of more than 100,000 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, addressing both its political and humanitarian components. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that the fact of Azerbaijan depriving an entire people of their native habitat, along with its ongoing approach of using force, must receive unequivocal international response.
Attention was also given to the overall security situation in the region, reaffirming the necessity to deter any claims against Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Armenian Foreign Minister and the EU High Representative also discussed agenda items related to Armenia-EU cooperation.
