Putin: No One from Abroad Brought Pashinyan to Hand Over Artsakh, He Was Chosen by the Armenian People
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated today at the Valdai Discussion Club that no one from abroad brought Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to power to hand over Artsakh. He emphasized that Pashinyan is the choice of the Armenian people.
“Nikol Pashinyan was not brought to power to surrender Artsakh. He was the only one who declared that ‘Artsakh is Armenia, and that’s it,’” Putin said in response to a question from Margarita Simonyan. “During the war, I communicated with him, and he was doing everything to maintain the situation. It is unfair to say that he came to power specifically to surrender Artsakh,” he added.
