The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, addressed the issue of waste collection in the capital during a regulatory meeting.

He suggested discussing the modernization of equipment. 'Clearly, the waste collection vehicles will not serve us for long. It is essential to have washing machines behind the waste trucks. When we walk around the yards, we sometimes see that when the trucks take the waste away, remnants are left on the street.'

According to Avinyan, what exists can be considered sufficient, but not more. 'The level of waste collection in Yerevan must be raised several times.'
