Armenia will allocate 2 billion 624 million 260 thousand 800 drams for the average repairs of 60.7 km of roads. This decision was unanimously adopted during today's government meeting.
“Out of these roads, 13 km are interstate and 47 km are republican. This project will involve the repair of 5 total road segments. Generally, we plan to asphalt about 150 km each year using average repair methods, if we calculate an averaged 500 km. This year, we also have a preliminary estimate for 150 km,” said Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, during the meeting.
According to him, these works are organized easily and quickly, which is why their implementation starts in the second half of the year. Sanosyan emphasized that this is the first funding for 60 km, and additional projects and funding will be available for approximately 90 km.
The minister highlighted that tenders have been awarded, construction companies are available, and the only thing left is to allocate the funds so that works can commence.
