Pallone on Washington's Delay in Providing Military Assistance to Azerbaijan
US Congressman Frank Pallone has once again opposed Washington's provision of military assistance to Baku, in light of Azerbaijan's aggressions against the Armenian population of Artsakh. This was stated by Pallone on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
“I have long opposed military aid to Azerbaijan, especially now, as Aliyev continues to violate international law and commit numerous aggressions against the rights of the people of Artsakh. We must uphold our values and be tougher if we hope to secure peace in the Caucasus,” the congressman wrote.
In his post, Frank Pallone attached an article recently published by POLITICO, which states that the Biden administration is clearly in no rush to resume the program of military assistance to Azerbaijan. The reason given is the threat of ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh.
