What Weather to Expect in the Coming Days
From August 12-16, the weather in the Republic of Armenia is expected to be without precipitation. This information is reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It is noted that the wind will come from the southwest at a speed of 2-3 m/s. On the evening of the 12th-15th, wind gusts of 13-16 m/s are anticipated in the Ararat Valley and the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk.
The air temperature during the day on August 11 will increase by another 2-3 degrees, after which it will not change significantly.
In Yerevan, too, the weather from August 12-16 is expected to be without precipitation. On the evenings of August 12-15, wind gusts of 10-13 m/s are anticipated.
Extreme heat continues. It is expected that during the day, between 16:00-18:00 in the Ararat Valley, the Syunik gorges, and Yerevan, temperatures could rise to +40…+42 degrees Celsius. As a result, a high fire hazard situation is also expected in Yerevan, the Ararat Valley, the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, and in the gorges of Syunik and Tavush.
